Pneumatic air regulator, also know as pressure regulator, is a valve that automatically cuts off the flow of a liquid or gas(gas here) at a certain pressure. Pneumatic Air Regulatorsareused to allow high-pressure fluid supply lines or tanks to bereduced tosafe and/or usable pressures for various applications.
The pressure regulator is suitable for manifold assemblies with through air supply on both sides, for configuring aregulator manifold with separate,independent pressure ranges. Pressureoutput is at the front or rear.
A pressure regulator's primary function is to matchtheflow of gas through the regulator to the demand for gas placed uponthesystem. If the load flow decreases, then the regulator flowmustdecrease also. If the load flow increases, then the regulator flow mustincrease in order to keep the controlled pressure from decreasingdue toa shortage of gas in the pressure system.
